I may be mad but I made a silly mistake yesterday after delving into the Dr Wood affair about 9/11. I
had not heard about the three tropical storms that magically appeared
with the anticyclonic weather over New York that day. So I went to look
at the data on it.
My stuff is basic, just images from Unisys at:

If there is a 12 hour pause between "gale force magnitude earthquakes", the probability is for a "named low category" storm. Then up in categories along the Beaufort Scale in three hour intervals up to the region here the fluid laws break down at some 30 hours and more.
A terror weapon so dangerous that it needed to be tested on an old abandoned building with a fail-safe device that would act as top cover and someone reliable to keep out spectators. (No wonder Georgie boy messed his pants when they told him about the firemen!)
Does it seem that after the event George Bush became totally disconnected to politics?
I appreciate he was never interested in anything much before, either but it was more than callousness and ignorance thereafter wasn't it?
A weapon so expensive it would bake the mother of all bombs. Dr Wood suggester microwaves for an energy device. Robert Watson-Watt worked on frequency interference for the BBC until the British started looking for a way of cooking bomber pilots.
The idea was known to the radar operators of the 1930's but he was responsible for settling possibilities and came up with direction finding. After getting a contract to develop something, he became responsible for networking it as a weapon before WW2. It can cook people but not people in aircraft and not in the rain.
So what sort of terror weapons are there?
The British Government hampered by a pacifism, was moribund, only working to reduce spending. It is difficult to imagine the state of affairs but we had "The Means Test" whereby anyone trying to claim poverty was liable to a search and any saleable property sold before they could get relief.
Who would buy tat from paupers but compared to Germany we were rich. Radar was seen as a cheap form of defence if cooking pilots was not possible. But the deathlike state persisted into WW2. The British government would do anything rather than fight. But by WW2 there was no alternative having sold most of Europe.
Hitler's Germany had at a stroke reversed everything settled for in WW1. And we began a new arms race By 1941 the USA was rich once more and would have been richer still had Roosevelt allowed Germany to buy from them. But Germany was rich too, rich enough to start a building programme to conquer the world. The USA was in a war to develop the first nuclear weapons before the Germans.
Meanwhile the British developed interference weapons. Unlike the Axis, the Allies shared developments and won, leaving the American as top dog. All shared secrets stopped, leaving Britain to develop its own nuclear arms. Something it was unable to do without selling its furniture again.
America, on the other hand, was going to the moon in a west side story. They knew how to get atoms to go critical and give off heat in the first nuclear furnaces they developed weapons of mass destruction that rivalled god. But they couldn't be trusted, could they?
Would anyone be daft enough to develop such weapons and use them?
All Nuclear weapons ended up being used on the home teams. It is likely that all such WMDs have been. But orthophosphate, like Agent Orange, was also used widely in rural communities elsewhere. You may have heard of Acid Rain but you may not have heard about sheep dip. You might look up the rates for suicide in rural communities though and wonder why it spiked, if it did.
Democracies can not handle bad news, hence the civil war on President Trump. The people who run democracies need Presidents that will do as they say. I always regret not saving the picture of bad news on Tony Blair's face when he was told to invade Iraq by the Bush administration.
It was a genuine watery thousand yard stare. I'm pretty sure the video is buried in Hard to Find now. But a dedicated whistler may yet find it. Stick it in posterity and shove it hard when you do.
By the 1970's America had invented the miniature computer and won the information technology ...one can't describe it as a race as the opponents were not interested in distributing information. But with the development of an home market the race to build smaller began with the by-product of information being discarded. Some token to secrecy was paid but the development went into Microsoft coffers who were not interested in secrecy so much as patents.
But with the computer and free information came the spin off dealing with the rest of it. Soon we began armchair astronomy with interference making a come back. Arpanet was released and the age of the internet was opened, secrecy became a thing like an artifact, a reliquary. The Russians were interested still but only to subvert the socialists in America and NATO.
The rest is history that you are familiar with.
I have no idea why Tesla failed to break the code in atoms, he must have been working on such stuff as ionising particles were well known in his time. Maybe the fate of the Curies put him off. He certainly entered the realm of ionisation. There must be a reason his work in not better understood.
