The situation reminds me of the disarray found in the British Army in North Africa shortly befoe=re the British Empire fell to America. I don't suppose the fact that the head of the army was being cuckolded by the head of the Bomber Command of the RAF, Bombers were considered effectrive in those days.

Maybe tupping other people's wives was part of it?

Anyway; an ex-pat was using his spare time working for some British company (I don't recall which) to explore the desert south of the Italian Lines. The Italians had invades Abyssinia in the 1930's and taken over the country that became Libya later ruled by Colonel Ghadaffi (I can never remember how to spell his name.)

In those days the British Army had tanks that were incapable of travelling for 300 miles without serious breakdown occurring. And as yet the Long Range Desert group had not been formed. cover the Passover. I have no idea what margin of error there is with the equations of time in this but I thing it is the same for one week as it is for the next.

Whatever the point of dwell and associated runaway as the solar system plays catch, the key is that the ball gets a massive kick at the time of Passover. There is a great deal of detail about the geo-phenomena in the accounts of the Gospel. If the Disciples never saw it coming, I am sure they were pretty clear on the matter afterwards.
