Immediate aftermath

This is a sensitive reaction that will tend to send warm air under compression up into the Arctic:

What you are looking at is the residue of a warm front spiral that entered the Atlantic from North America with the passage of this:

And here is the lead-in to the situation:

This it the Cyclone that was drawn from the MetOffice analysis for the start of their computer model midnight last night (10 June 2017.)
The centre is still on the Mid-Atlantic Ridge south of Iceland but has extended as far as Ireland.

The Cold Front associated with these things is approaching Britain on its way east of the bulk of the Warm Front the Warm Front is going to stay in place for, now trapped below a sheet of ice-cloud from Bogoslof or some other volcanic burst(s.)

And here is can be seen breaking up. Follow the cold front to a swarm of earthquakes thousands of miles away. (80 degrees or more.)

I don't have a world wide chart containing weather fronts but you can make a composite one of the various weather charts that cover enough regions to get to the sites of the epicentres. (Or volcanic eruptions.)

At a later date i will make one of those, to show you how they behave. They have a lore that explains a specific that always occurs with them.

So why is this phenomenon relatively rare?

Volcanoes erupt all the time. Which means that the air in the upper tropopause floods regularly. If we think of the results having an analogy with terrestrial floods, we realise that there is flooding and oh dear! FLOODING!.
I think this situation occurs when a few such eruptions occur and cause a backlog of the slipstream to build up. In the resent past, remarks on the nature of the ice in the Arctic were passed around by people interested in making silly statements about the overall ocean cover.

What had happened was that warm air entering the normally tepid region of flat calm Polar-night cold sometime around the middle of April, had provided a temperature gradient enough to disturb the status quo and the resulting storms had reduced the area of ice cover by piling up a little. Overall temperatures were maintained below zero so nothing extra-ordinary happened to move their flatulent world past any comical tipping point.

Presidunce Trump is still quite correct that Glowballs is a con.
