Conflation

This is like deflation only not.

We don't have a word for pointing at volcanic eruptions in geophenomena. If we did it would sound like this:

Conflation is a generic term; to be more specific, the term is pointing toward Shiveluch in this instance. Looks like it is going to be a whopper.

Last time it went pop the ash cloud went to the top of the troposphere. Most ash-cloud only gets to a mile before separating out. This stuff will seriously affect air transport in the China Sea. (It's going to feed a lot of fish though.)

Where else?

How about northern South America?




 
Yes there is some phallic pointing going on. Does that count?
