I just watched Michael Trim (one of the self appointed talking heads monetising Youtube) explaining what to do with Roy Moore.
Never mind allegations, is anyone saying that he is doing it now?
Do they expect him to hang his head and accede to all the other clowns who haven't been stopped yet?
Or do you think that getting rid of one will automatically make them all better people?
The problem is that Congress has written a law for itself that makes them immune as long a they can keep running and it has taken over the machine.
It is simple algebra that a machine like Congress has to be clean to run properly. Do the maths:
Politics has to have people who don't stop running for office and that it doesn't matter to them what they do or say as long as they keep the machine rolling. The best you can do with such a system is flee from it. Is any pundit going to suggest something better?
There are no any alternative unless you are offering to be Mr Nice Guy for the world. Isn't that what your President is doing?
Why is President trump failing?
Is it because people like Michael Trim are standing in his way?
No.
Michael Trim is just another voice like the millions of Americans that are all in the machine. He may be a nice guy he seems sensible and responsible so if he is right why does he want the machine to function like it does?
And we still haven't got to the point of did Roy Moore do what he is being accused of. And can anyone suggest a system that ensures nobody can make accusations idly without suffering extreme penalties.
There used to be a system called an eye for an eye.
If he kills his accuser will the problem go away?
There are two problems:
1. Did he do bad things?
2. Is someone doing bad things now.
Presumably Roy Moore isn't doing bad things now?
Are the people making the accusation going to be destroyed if they can not prove the allegation?
No they can heap shit indefinitely. Is that a good thing?
Are people willing to accept a machine that runs on shit?
Some people, Americans in particular are allergic to shit, the use of the word by anyone makes the person who says the word a pariah.
What kind of a god forsaken machine can function without a word for shit?
